Dear ECMP Audience:

We are excited to announce the 2016 - 2017 Essex Chamber Music Players concert season, encompassing contemporary, traditional and “Local Cultural History Through Music” works. The wonderful Ellipsis Trio will be joining ECMP for its November 6th concert.

We have created a second Local Cultural History Through Music program to acquaint students in schools with classical music and local history:. We are presently in discussion with the North Andover public schools to bring our Life and Poetry of Anne Bradstreet, America’s First Poet to the North Andover middle schools.

ECMP is well on the way to releasing its second CD: Classical Contemporary Chamber Music for the 21st Century, Volume 2. In addition our first Local Cultural History Through Music: The Merrimack Valley CD is underway. In June 2016 we recorded the last piece for the CD: W. T. McKinley’s Growing Up in North Andover 1874-1892: A Diary of Horace N. Stevens. Next we will add the narration.

October 18, 2010 - Studio recording of June on the Merrimack by Ray Loring

Essex Chamber Music Players will record "June on the Merrimack" for Tenor, Flute, Cello and Piano (based on John Greenleaf Whittier’s poem) by Ray Loring for our Local Cultural History Through Music initial CD release. The recording is made possible by contributions to the ECMP Ray Loring Memorial Recording Fund
I am thrilled to report that the recording went really well last night. Thanks so much for your thoughts, wishes and prayers for the recording of loved Ray Loring and his music.
The music was absolutely beautiful and imbued with Ray's spirit. The recording engineer said after the complete run through at the beginning 'that's it, done, go home". He thought it sounded that good and beautiful from the start.
ECMP and myself personally feel gratified with having done this for all the relatives and friends of Ray Loring.
